A cold, delicate hand grabs yours and pulls. It pulls, and it pulls... there's a sense of urgency in this icy grasp, as well as a trace of reluctance. Abruptly the hand let's go, right as your vision fades to black, and for a brief moment, only a brief moment, your senses disappear. There's only the eerie sensation of weightlessness before your feet are settled back on solid ground again.

She giggles. Though she's nowhere to be seen, you can't shake the feeling that you're being watched.

Unfortunately you can't reach it from where you stand. Such a grand hall with high ceilings, after all. It'd take more than a tall guy on his tip-toes to reach this bear, especially since it doesn't have legs to grab onto.

[ He looks at the hallway. Is it too narrow for wing clearance? ]

Certainly! Take flight, druggy plant angel.

The others seem to have soothed the bear as of now, so it's struggling much less.

[ He pulls out his wings and flies up to the bear, putting one arm around the bear so it doesn't fall as he pulls out his sword with his free hand and cuts the rope. ]

The bear can't make facial expressions—its face is forever stitched into a disturbed, comatose expression—but it'd probably look ever-so relieved to be down from that ceiling!

[ He flutters down to the ground, still holding the bear. Once he's down, he looks to see the condition of the bear— if it's missing more than its legs, if any stuffing is coming out, etc. ]

Once you land, the bear begins to feel warm...

All of its limbs are missing, as though they were deliberately torn off its body. It doesn't seem like stuffing is in immediate danger of falling out, thankfully.

The bear looks at you with its disturbed face, speaking urgently.

"Th... thank you!"

No problem. I take it that was the psycho bitch's doing?

The bear goes still, as though you said something you really really shouldn't have.

"N-no... it wasn't..."

[ TELL ME I'M WRONG!! ]

[ It's probably obvious by the look on his face that he doesn't believe the bear, but he doesn't push it. ]

Never mind that for now. So, you wanna stick with me for a bit?

"I-I don't mind. After all, you're a friend. And this place needs help, and I can't do anything, but I can't without..."

It seems to have a lot on its mind, but it can only say so much at once.

Without what?

"My limbs! Without them... not only am I immobile, but it's hard to feel happy... But I'll try! Because I think my friends can help!"

It might just be beaming at you.

We'll just have to find your limbs, then. Lucky for you, I can sew.

"That's great, thank you, thank you..."

It trails off. It's still nervous, but its spirits are coming up!

"It shouldn't be hard. I don't know where they are, and I don't know what the heart is really like anymore... it all happened so suddenly. But it's possible! I know it!"

[ He pets the bear's head, then looks down the hallway. ]

Well, it seems like the only way to find them is to get going.

[ He starts walking down the hall, bear in tow. ]

The stuffed animal nods its head.

The darker part of the hall is cold.

The room it leads to is dark and musty, much like the hall, but this time the darkness, and this coldness—it's denser. Along the perimeter of this entry room sit small piles of rubble—from the walls? the ceiling?—in a strangely organized mess. With every step the floor boards beneath your feet creak. Located to the immediate right of you is a decrepit fireplace.

There are many places to go from this room, too.

Straight ahead of you is a grandiose staircase leading up.

On either side of this staircase is a giant door hanging wide open—perhaps leading to the same room of an extravagant size? The light from that room occasionally flickers.

To your left is a large archway opening to a hallway that leads into blackness.

To your right is a similar archway opening into a similar hallway.

And, of course, behind you there's the hallway you just came from.

[ He looks around at his options, then heads to the archway leading to the hallway to his right. ]

This hall is pitch black, save for the eeriness of the fogged windows on the right side of the hall. Regardless, you can’t see anything if it isn’t in front of your face. The air is thick and difficult to breathe. Strangely, your senses feel numb. At the least, the stuffed animal you're carrying seems startled by this hall's presence.

Yet, something presses you to go forward, and it's not that overwhelming feeling that you're being watched that's doing it. Probably.

[ Mumbling: ]

Hail, you really need to look into better lighting in your heart.

[ Regardless of what is causing him to want to keep going forward, he heeds it... for now. ]

As you venture down the hall you can see doors appear on the wall in the corner of your sight.

The voice that suddenly speaks up isn't the bear's but something sickeningly sweet.

"Oh? Why, I could arrange something, couldn't I? This place needs some remodeling done..."

[ He doesn't even pause as he speaks, heading towards the doors. ]

Nobody wants your help. Why don't you just fuck off?

The doorknob, and the door, disappears under your grasp. There's suddenly a sharp pang, something cold, in your stomach. Not anything physical, but a feeling.

Zwei's voice cackles.

"I think you'll need my help if you want through this hall~"

[ He snorts. ]

You're not interested in helping anyone but yourself.

[ But he pauses at that feeling in his stomach, frowning. He looks around, trying to assess what's going on. ]

"Is that so~"

Whatever door was aligned against the wall disappears when you look right at it. It's only when they're in the corner of your vision can you see them...

"A little further down the hall, if you will~"
