A cold, delicate hand grabs yours and pulls. It pulls, and it pulls... there's a sense of urgency in this icy grasp, as well as a trace of reluctance. Abruptly the hand let's go, right as your vision fades to black, and for a brief moment, only a brief moment, your senses disappear. There's only the eerie sensation of weightlessness before your feet are settled back on solid ground again.

Off to the side, a stuffed bear, much like the one in the icon, watches you with interest, bobbing its head back and forth. Sadly it doesn't have arms or legs, but hey.
It calls out to you in a small, cute voice.
"...h-hello!"

Janta-kun, I'll be relying on you for directions.

Janta bobs its head again.
"Understood! I will do my best. I know the floorplan of this heart... unless it's changed."
The darker part of the hall is cold.
The room it leads to is dark and musty, much like the hall, but this time the darkness, and this coldness—it's denser. Along the perimeter of this entry room sit small piles of rubble—from the walls? the ceiling?—in a strangely organized mess. With every step the floor boards beneath your feet creak. Located to the immediate right of you is a decrepit fireplace.
There are many places to go from this room, too.
Straight ahead of you is a grandiose staircase leading up.
On either side of this staircase is a giant door hanging wide open—perhaps leading to the same room of an extravagant size? The light from that room occasionally flickers.
To your left is a large archway opening to a hallway that leads into blackness.
To your right is a similar archway opening into a similar hallway.
And, of course, behind you there's the hallway you just came from.
