A cold, delicate hand grabs yours and pulls. It pulls, and it pulls... there's a sense of urgency in this icy grasp, as well as a trace of reluctance. Abruptly the hand let's go, right as your vision fades to black, and for a brief moment, only a brief moment, your senses disappear. There's only the eerie sensation of weightlessness before your feet are settled back on solid ground again.

And Lloyd grabs for her hand, but instead he grabs nothing—and instead, he suddenly feels intense pain in that hand, as though every nerve were revolting.

Touching you hurts. Why?
Re: outside
"I am everything Hail struggled to contain. It hurts her... so it hurts you."
Re: outside
*tucks his knife away, and extends a hand to her...*
Re: outside
Do you hurt, too?
Re: outside
"The feelings of betrayal. The feelings of loss, heartbreak, failure... she tried to contain it. Really she did. But I took form. Now I can remind everyone. And no... I do not hurt." She smiles softly. "I feel great."

*just...unhappy...reaches to take her hand, then; lightly*

[trying to tug her hood down, if she'll let him]
Re: outside
The hood, however, will move. And the face is somehow not Zwei's, but Hail's. Her eyes are blank and teary, but she still smiles.
"Because I am living the way I am supposed to live. But you are touching me too much. Both of you."
She moves to step back.

Don't leave. Please? You're crying...

Pain doesn't have to be bottled up if you can share it.

Suddenly, without warning, the tree catches flame.
It's like watching a poorly put together gif: one second it's burning, the next it's gone, dispersing into black vapor that, if inhaled, gives you the urge to put yourself in pain by any means.
And, of course, as this happens, the Echo is smiling, but it's not twisted anymore. It's soft and gentle again.
