The bad news: he's mostly being his friend out of pity. Don't get me wrong, he does like Drift! Just not as much as he let's on. After all, when confronted with a guy who is sad and tried to hurt you but he loevs you and everyone says he's broken IT KIND OF FEELS LIKE MITSUKI'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CARE! He must be the helper! He's not doing it to be mean or mislead him. Maybe this will explain why Mitsuki is like pushing it by saying ALL OF THE NICE THINGS and being so sweet. It's like 60% true and 40% 'i'm only doing this because you're broken and someone needs to love you.'

Echo is tired of Drift. She doesn't understand him and he has so many problems. Honestly, she has hit a point where she genuinely has no interest in him. Well. She'd still like to observe him, to see how he develops from here on out, but yeah no let's not talk bunny, let's keep our distances.
