A cold, delicate hand grabs yours and pulls. It pulls, and it pulls... there's a sense of urgency in this icy grasp, as well as a trace of reluctance. Abruptly the hand let's go, right as your vision fades to black, and for a brief moment, only a brief moment, your senses disappear. There's only the eerie sensation of weightlessness before your feet are settled back on solid ground again.

Let me... at least fix your arms and legs.

"N-no—! Those won't make me happy! I don't think it would, especially... from—!"
The bear gasps and stops itself from going any further. It's clearly realizing how overboard it's going, you are evidently making it uneasy, boy.
Re: entry
I think it's silly to not accept help from someone you don't like. Help is still help.
But... what would make you happy?
Re: entry
"I-I don't dislike you... but this..."
It's hard to find the right words, but it looks down at either side of its body, at its limbs.
"They did this to me. Partially because of you, right?!"
It takes a deep breath.
"And... what makes me happy is a safe place to be happy in. My friends make me happy, too."

[he settles down next to Janta, and starts knitting. This... is going to take a bit, because he isn't fast-- but he can make rudimentary arms and legs, and fill them with excess yarn to give them some stiffness. Attaching them is harder-- but he fashions a type of hook so that they can attach where they're supposed to be.]

Um. You can stay out here, or I can put you in my inventory, where you'll be safe, even if anything happens to me.

Re: entry
The room it leads to is dark and musty, much like the hall, but this time the darkness, and this coldness—it's denser. Along the perimeter of this entry room sit small piles of rubble—from the walls? the ceiling?—in a strangely organized mess. With every step the floor boards beneath your feet creak. Located to the immediate right of you is a decrepit fireplace.
There are many places to go from this room, too.
Straight ahead of you is a grandiose staircase leading up.
On either side of this staircase is a giant door hanging wide open—perhaps leading to the same room of an extravagant size? The light from that room occasionally flickers.
To your left is a large archway opening to a hallway that leads into blackness.
To your right is a similar archway opening into a similar hallway.
And, of course, behind you there's the hallway you just came from.
Hopefully you remember where the ballroom was, though that should be obvious—! ♥
