A cold, delicate hand grabs yours and pulls. It pulls, and it pulls... there's a sense of urgency in this icy grasp, as well as a trace of reluctance. Abruptly the hand let's go, right as your vision fades to black, and for a brief moment, only a brief moment, your senses disappear. There's only the eerie sensation of weightlessness before your feet are settled back on solid ground again.

[so, you see. You're now staring down the end of his sword.]

She stares at the sword flatly when she's gathered herself.

"Why?"

Clearly, you don't fear death-- so I wouldn't kill you. But I could rip you apart slowly, let you bleed out, and break every bone in your body... and I have enough gels in reserve that I could do this for hours, bringing you to the brink of death and never stepping over.

"Do you need medication? I have something that will soothe you. Because hurting me over such an unhelpful person will do nothing to revive it. Why do you care?"

Nurse Echo reluctantly looks away, curling her hands into fists.

"Why do you want me to revive her? Why do you care? Answer me that and I... will oblige."

Because if the crime of having hopes and dreams is death, then I want to rewrite that law.

[lowers his sword.]

She seems surprised at this... all of this. What?

THIS IS REALLY SURPRISING.

But, she pulls herself together, and walks back to her desk, reaching over it to the cabinets. After a moment she returns to the corpses side with a filled syringe, gently taking it by the wrist and injecting the liquid. After a moment she drops the hand, and you can slowly see color return to that Echo's skin.

Nurse Echo, however, stares back at you with uncertainly.

Now, either work with her, or go back to where you were before.

I shouldn't have to tell you idiots how to work together properly.

She stares back at you with a hardened gaze.

It's then that a black hand from the shadows reaches for your arm. Zwei's voice chimes in unhelpfully.

"Say... that's rough, isn't it? Things were just great before, weren't they?"

[he grabs his sword, let me hack your fucking hand off, Zwei]

It cuts through the hand with surprising ease.

But several more grab at you, a few on each arm, trying to hold you still.

"Hey now, that was rough, too! It's not my fault you're compared to me..."
