A cold, delicate hand grabs yours and pulls. It pulls, and it pulls... there's a sense of urgency in this icy grasp, as well as a trace of reluctance. Abruptly the hand let's go, right as your vision fades to black, and for a brief moment, only a brief moment, your senses disappear. There's only the eerie sensation of weightlessness before your feet are settled back on solid ground again.

Re: outside
Re: outside
he goes over to the hole where the tree was-- feeling the torn ground there tentatively. Perhaps he can just take some of the dirt from that...]
Re: outside
But you can do that.
As you ponder that, she stands up.
"I really do not think I can plant flowers like I want to. If the only tree that gave me hope is gone... then... even this small flower will die, too. I know it."
Re: outside
Come on, I'll show you how to take care of a plant, and then you'll see.
We told you to grow things-- and didn't show you how. That's not fair.
Re: outside
"...okay... Inside...? Or will you demonstrate here..."
Re: outside
Re: outside
"Okay. Inside. Where I can see them. L-let's go..."
She begins to head inside, without waiting.
Re: outside
what happened to that tree, then...? It is a mystery!]
Re: outside
She stops in the entry room; the room that leads to every other room. She then turns back and looks at him, expectantly.
Re: outside
And we need a pot-- and you had a lot of pots in there.
Re: outside
It seems like she had other thoughts, but she's reconsidered. She leads you back to the ballroom/trauma center, where the nurse is sitting at her desk.
Coping leads you to a potted plant by a window. It's dead, of course.
Re: outside
Is there water...?
Re: outside
"No. But the nurse has some at her desk."
And so, she quickly walks over to the nurse's desk and acquires a cup of water for the plant! Sharing rooms with the nurse sure is awkward.
She offers him the cup of water.
Re: outside
[he takes the water-- gotta get the alcohol out. HE'S READ A BIT ON GARDENING, and alcohol can sort of work, if it's methanol (aka not the drinkable stuff).
But whiskey is not the type of alcohol the plants can have.
No. Just. No.
Once the pot is cleaned, Emil places the dirt in the pot, and then waits for the flower]
Re: outside
But she's hesitant with the flower.
"I... I can't..."
Re: outside
Yes, you can. You've done it before, and now I'm showing you, so you'll be able to do it better.
Re: outside
Re: outside
HE'S GOING TO SET THE FLOWER BY ONE OF THE WINDOWS]
Re: outside
"Maybe... maybe the windows are not allowing enough light in. Should I fix that?"
Re: outside
And you should water it once a day, with a cup, like I did.
[he offers the cup back to her]
And they say talking to plants helps them, too.
Re: outside
But she perks up a little bit after she takes the cup.
"Talking to plants... really?"
Re: outside
Yes.
[I... I think I've done some good here... even if you did have to get stepforded for it...]
Re: outside
"I see... then. I have a few things I would like to say to the flower."
She kneels next to it, and studies it closely, seemingly talking to the flower, but... not in a very quiet voice.
"I will tell you what Hail has been wanting to say, Mister Flower. She really wishes that she could have been good enough for him. And she wishes that he would be honest and tell her that the other girl was just that much better than her. That's all she wants. Really. You could say she is a glutton for punishment... but she only seeks to reconcile herself. Isn't that all?"
Re: outside
You're still not going to get him to say that...]
Hail...
Re: outside
"I think we need more light in this room."
Immediately following her words, she steps closer to the tall window and slams a fist through it, shattering a large piece of the window.
"...much better."
