A cold, delicate hand grabs yours and pulls. It pulls, and it pulls... there's a sense of urgency in this icy grasp, as well as a trace of reluctance. Abruptly the hand let's go, right as your vision fades to black, and for a brief moment, only a brief moment, your senses disappear. There's only the eerie sensation of weightlessness before your feet are settled back on solid ground again.

The words light up, in fact, glow, when you finish writing that. Then the words settle back to look like normal writing again.

Janta seems amazed.

One of the table legs suddenly give out.

Ah—! [ reaches out to grab for Janta first, not wanting him to get damaged any further ]

Janta doesn't fall, but that book does, if you're not holding onto that either.

"Wow," Zwei comments from around you, "what a nice thing of you to do!!"

[ kneels down to pick up the book as well, slipping the note inside ]

It's a shame Zwei-san seems incapable of kindness herself.

"I know how to repay people with kindness."

A shadowy hand picks up a pencil.

Another grabs you by the wrist with an icy grasp.

Wh— don't do anything foolish-!

[ pulls his arm back in an attempt to free himself ]

"Foolish? Oh, no, don't you do something foolish!"

The icy grip grows sharp and tugs hard. The pencil-holding hand draws nearer.

"Wherever shall I put this? In your eye? Your hand, maybe your heart? ♥"

[ he clutches the memory book and Janta close to himself; his priority is to protect them, but he needs to defend himself too- Kuroko's eyes flicker from the shadowy hand lurking closer to the shattered leg of the table and tugs with all his might ]

L-Let go!

You can successfully pull away, but the claw-like nails tear into your hand as you do.

Zwei can only laugh at this spectacle you're causing.

[ hisses in pain, but now he can grab the leg for a weapon with his free hand ]

Stop this idiocy, Zwei-san.

The room falls quiet. There's now not a single hand in sight.

Janta leans against you, worried.

"A-are you ok..."

I'm fine, Janta-kun. Are you alright?

If this doll could cry, it probably would! His voice sounds like he's tearing up.

"Ehhh, I'm fine!! Be careful, or she'll kill you...!"

[ hugs him closer ]

I-I'll do my best. [ he can't lie, he hasn't ever really faced a situation like this, but he wants to do well by Hail... Kuroko keeps a grip on that leg just in case. ]

"I believe in you!"

Even if others have died already.

"I do not know how to tell you to fix that! It may be better to just leave it be..."

It does seem broken beyond repair....

[ surveys the room ]

Is... is there anything else we can do here?

"That may have been it. I was worried about the memories, but that should really help. It was never easy living with a past like that. There's another place I think you could go though! One more. I know exactly what needs done, too."

[ nods ]

Even if I helped a little, I'll be happy.

[ drops the broken table leg and dusts off the memory book before taking it to the shelf next to her Aather memories ]

It deserves a more proper resting place now.

The memory book fits nicely in there.

"Thank you...! Just down the hall, to you're right. You might need a candle or a source of flame though..."

A light source...

[ taking a look around the room and by the door into the hallway to see if there's anything he can use ]

"No, something for me to light!"

There's a tall, red candle in the corner of the room.

Oh, I wasn't aware you could do that.

[ brings him on over to the candle ]

"I can't do it for every single person. Without my limbs I am powerless, but I can do it this one time."

Janta leans in and brushes its cheek against the candle. In the following instant it is lit with a strong, but small, flame.

"The warmth of our friendship has lit the candle...!"

[ o-oh that's... cute... ]

[ time to brave the hallway now!]

The hallway is cold as you go down. Thankfully you have a candle, and you can see the finer details of this path. There's broken glass on the floor, and towards the very end of this frigid hall is a closed door.
