[WOW GUESS WHAT your hand is attached to echo's hand by some crazy super duper glue, and echo, being that she is bothered by this sudden development, is attempting to pull away from you]

[except it's not working at all, and she opts to continue this valiant attempt while flatly berating the situation at hand]

Who do we blame for this? Should Echo blame you?

I would hope not myself. I'm just as perplexed as you are.

[Tilting his massive gold head and eyeing her with one wary, blue eye — which might be a bit comical, considering that he's easily the size of a house and could simply step on her with no effort.

Then again, maybe that's why he's wary. Hard to tell.]

V-very well. Echo will not blame you. Whoever is to blame is not present.

[she's a little shaken, but regardless of that she's now studying him carefully]

[Settles carefully on his haunches, keeping his front — hands? paws? — very still where she's stuck to one large, sapphire claw]

I almost hope they appear. I have a few things I'd like to say to them.

[Lowers his head to eye her more closely. Despite his awesome size, there's something kindly in the gesture, and much less annoyance than before when he asks,]

What is your name, human child?

[eyeing his claw; never been stuck to a dragon before... definitely not one that spoke]

They better appear.

I see you've attempted removing yourself already. Does it hurt at all? [He can hardly feel anything on his claws, but he isn't about to start tugging if Echo's hand is firmly glued. Humans can be such fragile creatures, at times]

[knitting her brows a bit]

It does not hurt, but this is startling. We do not know each other and we are stuck. Also, you are a dragon.

An astute observation. I take it you haven't encountered one of us face to face before.

[Now studying the point where they're stuck together... and then Echo's feet. What kind of shoes are you wearing, little human?]

[she is wearing some white thigh high boots, and she, too, studies the point they're joined at]

That is correct. And... that too, is correct. If Echo must, she will use knives.

[and just like that, a knife swishes out from the sleeve of her free hand]

[not the slippers he half-expected to see, which while reassuring, also makes this more perplexing]
