the 'end up being like me' is the whole DECIDING YOUR LIFE HAS NO MEANING. Echo has kind of already decided for herself, too, that her life has no meaning aside from being a doll, BUT SHE STRUGGLES TO AT LEAST PRETEND SHE HAS A PURPOSE!! The last thing she wants for Naoto is to fall into something like this, too. I WILL BREATHE MEANING INTO YOU, NAOTO.

she also appreciates that Naoto will report everything Zwei does back to her. He is also very earnest in his efforts for a lot of things and he's a good teammate buddy yes.
